The Need For Planning
As in any journey, planning defines the course of travel. With planning, a traveler is better prepared as he/she encounters intersections and Ys in the road. In order for a traveler to be successful in their journey, he/she must also be prepared for the expected as well as the unexpected. One way to be prepared is by evaluating any possible considerations which serves to reduce apprehension thus instilling a higher confidence in success. People are more able to face diversities with confident when they know and expect a particular outcome. Success is born from a clear understanding of how to achieve and appreciate its’ benefits. It’s a known, while a mystery, that humans are born for success. God provides for it, equips for it and prompts the human spirit to achieve, when and if they are obedient and comply to His nature.
"You think you know the truth? Think again, one man's truth is another's folly."
It’s the rewards of life that makes it meaningful.
While many rewards of life hinge on doors of opportunity someone still has to swing them open. Granted, there is no one simple answer to all the problems of the world, there are only responses to questions. It is the anchor of mediocrity that deprives man of spirit while the soul cries out in desperation for freedom. Yes, the sad truth is, many people live lives of desperation that are dull, drab and uneventful. They incapable of truly waking up from their self-made destiny.
I once knew a man who died and they revived him. He said it was like waking up for the first time. His life experience changed in a heartbeat. Everything was new and fresh, and he saw life in an entirely new light. Because his perception was from another place, he was able to see and feel opportunity from his heart and revere the second chance afford him. Even colors became more vibrant, sounds were crisper and everywhere he turned he saw opportunity. His relationships were from his heart and truth became his viewpoint. Before where he saw only survival as a potential reward he now envisioned life as a glorious new experience. God had gotten his attention in a very distinctive way.
The search for truth is within man.
From the beginning, man has searched for truth. He/she first turned toward God and then to him/herself in the quandary of understanding and an answer to an unanswerable question. From the earliest recorded literature, there have been arguments, debates and dissertations on what constitutes the ingredients of success. Because success is a personal acquirement, one common factor is that a personal involvement of action must take place before success can result. Another common factor is motivation; nothing takes place without a driving force. Yet a third requirement is passion or desire, there must be a passion or desire for the goal for it to become a reality. This is where God’s “law of cause and effect” must be employed before one can progress toward any successful conclusion. Like it or nor, you must get up and act before any kind of success can happen.
Arise and chase a rainbow
Today you must lift your head and begin a new understanding. You have been bottle fed all of your life -- and now it's time to break away and stand on your own two feet. Truth has been kept from you but now it's time to be the person you were meant to be. Face life eye to eye and demand your rightful place. How strong are your desires and your willingness to sacrifice?
No matter how well prepared you may think you are, circumstance can change suddenly. All of your dreams and aspirations can be a thing of the past. Do not put off for tomorrow what you can do today. Because no one knows when the end will come, strive forward like the end is in the next minute. Be hard-working and watchful for only you can make your life meaningful. It is a truth that while success is written on the human heart, action is its force.
You must make the first move
The fact is, you must step off the curb to cross the street. You are standing on the curb now, aren’t you? The traffic is horrendous, frightening, seemingly endless and there it is, a break, a chance, should you take it, or stay on the curb?
There’s safely on the curb, you know because you have been standing there for a lifetime. How long will you continue to stand there, contemplating, wishing, desiring to be across the street? A few minutes, hours, days years, until death? The traffic will always be there and with each passing year, it will get worse. You stand there and with each passing day others join you as you stand on the curb? Look around at the fear, anxiety, sadness, it’s all there, lost dreams, false hopes . . . countless lives left unfilled. Countless dreams drifting away, countless beliefs washed down the drain and you, still stand and wait . . will the traffic ever stop? No, it will always be there. It will always be the barrier between you and your dreams. Your ambitions your real meaning.
Success is not far away
Over there, across the street, is wealth, love, satisfaction and the true essence of life. Over there is who you are. Yes, over there is TRUTH. But you have not been able to see it, because of the traffic. You are consumed about the traffic, you worry about it, you fret about it, it makes you sick and frail and unable to function. You make excuses, I can’t, I don’t know how, I just can’t take a chance. And you rot on the curb until one day, they come and get you. Life is over now, and what did you accomplish? Nothing, you were afraid to get off the curb. Now is your chance to get off the curb and excel as you were born to do.
You only need to believe
First you have to believe, in your self and your abilities. Second dream the insurmountable dream, and third commit your all to the dream. Find what you love most, and commit to it. Once you commit by stepping off the curb, then you have to go all the way. If you love life and it will respond in love.

Mastering Your Mind Power: A New Genius
Where do you start? Start from where you are. Start by stop taking the power of your mind for granted. Seek to understand to the best of your ability what the self image is, how it assumes control over what enters your unconscious mind, and what it prohibits from entering.
Begin by understanding that your unconscious mind is the power that brings everything you experience into your life, and it is the self image that filters and dictates how you view those experiences and how you react to them. I cannot over state how important this understanding was for me, and I believe it is equally important for you.
Here is a simple 30 day, two-part exercise I recommend for you. Part one requires you to observe for the next few days, which arm or leg you put your garment onto first as you get dressed. After you have identified which it is, you will see that a habit has been formed so firmly that you put your garment onto that limb without your attention. You are observing the power of habit.
In part two of the exercise, get yourself a rubber band, one that is large enough not to constrict your flesh and blood vessels but small enough that it will not easily slip off your wrist and hand. Put it on either wrist and keep in on for the full 30 days.
This is a tool (the rubber band) and technique that was so very helpful to me. It will allow you to be convinced that you can break this very powerful habit, and by inference, nearly any other habit you may choose.
If you have determined that you habitually put your garment onto you right arm (or leg), for example, consciously tell yourself that you are now going to put it onto your left arm (or leg) first for a period of 30 days. Remind yourself that you are breaking the old habit.
If during the 30 days you should forget and fall back into your old habit, whenever you become aware that have done so, pull the rubber band 4 or 5 inches from your wrist and let go. As you feel the sting from the snap of the rubber band, firmly remind yourself that you have decided that you will no longer habitually put your garment onto the right or left arm or leg (whichever is appropriate). You are forming a new habit and you will now put the garment onto the left or right arm or leg (again, whichever is appropriate) first.
After the first week or so you will begin to notice that any time you put on a garment, you will begin to consciously choose the reverse of the old habit as you gradually develop the new one.
This is something I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

Mastering Your Mind Power: Are You The Missing Component
Let us suppose that you are one of those people who has seen or read The Secret or any one of the other many published inspirational, self help, personal development works. You probably did so because you want to master the powers of your mind to Live your dreams. You want the freedom to do what you want to do when you want to do it.
I further believe you can improve your life for the better beginning right now, if you have not already done so, but only by mastering your mind power. I also believe that you probably suffer from some version of the same bug that afflicted me, the impatience bug.
You have likely been conditioned to want instant relief, instant results, therefore, you fail to realize that you did not reach your present conditions instantly, and you fail to reason that your life conditions are not going to change instantly.
I wish to be very clear about this. I believe that you or any person who sincerely wishes to do so can change for the better. It is not that terribly difficult. To do so, however, will require a desire for positive change, a commitment to taking charge of your mind, a basic understanding of how the mind works, a clear picture and understanding why positive change is desirable, some degree of acceptance of how the self image (also known as personality, psyche, map of reality, ego) is in control, a process, and persistence.
In addition, you will need another very critical component that is missing from the personal development regimen of most people, namely a tool, system, or technique to effectively work through setbacks, and the counter thoughts you will experience. In fact, I place this component on par with any of the others.
The absence of this component is the reason that even though the personal development industry experiences multi-billions of dollars in sales each year, relatively few people succeed in making the positive changes they desire. I do not believe I can overstate the importance of your gaining knowledge and understanding of the self image.
You deserve financial security, new enriching experiences, and recognition for your contributions to the world. If these conditions are not in you life now, you are going to have to make some changes to your self image. You must first master and control your mind and through your mind, change the self image.
As I have stated in earlier articles, your self image is in control of all of your consistent thoughts, images, ideas, and emotions in your life that are on automatic pilot. It has come to enjoy the seat of power it has gradually been allowed to occupy. If you do not reckon with it, it will stop you dead in your tracks each time you attempt to bring positive change into your life.
This I know for sure. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

The Silent Laws Of Living Success
Dealing With People; good and bad
In the Silent Laws Of Accomplishment we explored how to deal with people, the importance of following rules and digging deep within to release the inner person. We also touched on five natural laws; control, observance, value, integrity, and development which if implemented into your life would not only propel you toward success but would give you a whole new understanding and vision of yourself.
Usually when a person seeks success they concentrate on strategy, planning, and product marketing. But as we have learned success does not necessarily mean monetary gain it could also include culture or arts. Reaching a meaningful predetermined personal goal is more likely the definition of success. In this series we will apply new rules as we focus on the inner person and the importance of wholeness in relationship to total success.
Do new rules apply?
The same rules that were applicable for our forefathers are just as powerful today. You must regain your God given powers and lift your head in the comfort in knowing you are indeed Born To Succeed. You must look into your future and visualize the results of your labor. You must see yourself as you are, your true nature, your potential and relationship with your surroundings. Become emerged in your true self and activate the dominate powers that have been waiting for you to bring them into your experience.
Facing the challenge of self recognition
Again we will challenge the inner you; the you that has gone too long without the respect you deserve. Here are five more laws that if put into practice, will most assuredly change your life. Pay attention!
1. The law of Adaptability
There are many people who simply can’t adapt to changing conditions. When new innovations are introduced they turn their heads in rejection. People who require supervision to perform basic abilities rarely further their career.
You must adapt to your changing environment. You must embrace change in order to fit in and become a leader and Inspiration to those around you. Lets face it, every situation in life requires you to adapt in some form or manner. Family, church, workplace, society, club all require you to adapt to the current conditions. I don’t mean give in, or cave in, but consider the options and adjust to the presented opportunity. Fit in, take part
in your surroundings, be active as a team player.
2. The law of Statistics
If you are not observant, there’s a good chance you will become a statistic. Short sighted people who can’t see the potential in their situation, quickly become a statistic. You’ve seen them, they are the ones that shuffle in the front door three minutes late and run out the back exactly at quitting time. Their conduct illustrates an image of bad attitude and lack of conformity which will doom them into joining the another has-beens on the roles of failure. Rejection and a life of hopelessness awaits those who never get involved.
3. The law of recognition
Everyone wants to be recognized for their accomplishments and as an individual. Do something so people will remember you. Don’t be outlandish or abusive, reach out to people in a kind and comforting way. If it’s your doctor, boss or anyone you want to be remembered by, greet them with warmth and caring. If appropriate, give them a personal gift. Something special you made, just for them. Every time they see that special gift, they will remember you and when you come into their presence, they will remember who you are. You have developed a closeness, a relationship beyond the traditional boundaries. I make canes, and I make a unique cane especially to give to those who I want to be remembered by. They appreciate the gesture and they remember me the next time I see them. They open up, to a deeper connection and more meaningful relationship.
4. The law of Manipulation
Many people go through life manipulating others for personal gain. Manipulation is a deceptive act and as such is destructive in nature. People manipulate each other without realizing it. It’s a form of getting one’s own way. Coming out on top, so to speak. A child sulks, a spouse gives the silent treatment, a boss threatens, all are ways to control a particular situation. Girls manipulate boys because they know they can. Boys manipulate girls for dominance. Husbands manipulate wives because they need to be the leader. Wives manipulate husbands because they need position. Everyone is manipulating someone to sustain their own uniqueness. Don’t fall into this trap. Manipulation is not a trait of a winner.
5. The force of Character
Who are you? What lies at the heart of your existence? How are you portraying yourself to others? Are you a joy to be around or do people shun you? Character is the outward expression of an inward life force. The natural thing to do is mirror Godlike qualities in your mannerisms but, we do not live in a natural environment. Our environment is contaminated and we are also. Unfortunately our character is derived from a world point of view. You must be radiant, caring and outward in your involvement with others.
Wealth is only a mindset
It’s not about wealth or fame, but rather it’s about you and who you are. You are at the center of this series of articles. We could go into the mechanics of success but it would do no good without you as a receptor. Perhaps you are already a super good person, and if you are I commend you for it. Unfortunately most people are motivated by outside stimuli and they wither and rot inside. They can’t understand why they aren’t happy. Why they are continually faced with problems with family and relationships. Fix your eyes on your inner self and approach life like today is your last day. What are you going to do to hold close each precious moment, each relationship, each experience?
It’s the little things that matter
Treasure the taste of fudge or the glimmer of the sun on water or the many other things that make life worth living. When you see your child take his/her first step or feel the warmth of your spouse next to you when you roll over in the bed, embrace these moments because they are what it is all about.

Happy Trails

Mastering Your Mind Power: Does Habit Play A Part?
Habit is both the problem and the solution to your mastering your mind power and more fully exercising the power of your mind. If you were to take inventory of the thoughts you consistently think from day to day, you would be amazed at how little conscious, focused thinking takes place because of habit. Most of your working hours are probably spent attending to your job. There is a 95% chance that your job is of the paycheck to paycheck variety, and if you have been on that job for a while, it has probably become fairly routine and does not require much problem-solving, focused thinking.
Habits are actions or behaviors that have been repeated so regularly that they have become routines that are engaged in without consciously thinking about them. They are learned actions or behaviors, rather than instinctive. They occur automatically, for the most part, without the explicit conscious intention of a person.
I am not aware of any studies that have determined the number of habits the average adult has formed by, let us say, age 25. I imagine that number is in the hundreds, maybe even in the thousands. In a sense, one could say that we human beings are just a big bundle of habits moving through life. Some habits are good. Others we most assuredly can do without.
They range from actions as simple as how we form letters to construct words when we write, the way we walk, the way we talk, or the way we put on garments. More complicated habits include the way we respond to negative comments made about us by others or the way we respond to thoughts about wealth and wealthy people. Some habits are certainly very useful, for they free us from having to think through every one of the many details that are in nearly every action in which we engage throughout our day.
Most of us have built a multitude of habitual beliefs (or someone else has built them for us) about every facet of life. These beliefs are so conditioned within us that they have become our truths through which we see our world. It is very important to understand the contribution habits make to the construction of the self image. A simple definition of a person's self image is the conception of the sort of person one thinks he or she is. It is a mental blueprint that has been built up from subconsciously embedded beliefs about himself or herself.
A person's self image, consisting of many habits, is very resistant to change. It will yield to you, however, if your desire for a more prosperous or fulfilling life is strong enough. There is no better time than right now to begin developing new habits, habits that move you toward financial freedom to do what you want to do when you want to do it.
This I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

Can You Picture The Life You Want?
Can you imagine what it will be like for you, when you have the life you really want?
· When you're feeling slim, fit, strong, healthy, and full of energy - when all your aches and pains have gone away?
· When your relationships are stimulating, supportive, close and inspiring?
· When finances are no longer an issue or a struggle - when you simply have the money and income you need to pay all your bills, meet all your obligations, and do whatever and go wherever you want?
· When you're living in the house and in the location of your dreams?
· When you're doing the fulfilling work that you love to do - work for which you are appreciated and admired?
When life flows smoothly, nothing is a struggle. Your mind is clear. You're headed in the direction you want to go. When challenges arise, you handle them with ease and grace. Life seems effortless, and yet extremely fulfilling. You feel happy, content, and at peace. You smile a lot, you have fun, you feel good. It feels great to be alive, and you love every minute of it.
Isn't this what we all want - a life full of joy and free of struggle?
Can you picture it? Do you feel you can have it? That you deserve it? That it's possible?
You see, although most people want it, they have trouble picturing it for themselves. Or, they can picture it, but they don't believe it's possible for them.
Why? It's because of the results they've experienced in their life so far.
You can have the life that you want. You truly can. But here's the thing - you must be able to picture it, and see yourself living that life. You must be able to know and believe that it is possible for you. You have to feel that you deserve it. You must be able to 'feel' what it will be like when you're living your perfect life. And you have to take inspired action to get you there.
In other words, this life won't just materialize all by itself. You'll have to do some things that will get you from where you are now to where you want to be. You'll have to prepare.
What kinds of things do you need to do to continually move toward that new reality? It could be things like:
· Looking through magazines, online, or in your neighborhood for the perfect house you want, or something very close. Take that picture or those details, and put them where you'll see them every day.
· Writing down what you'd love to be do as a career. What kind of work/job do you see yourself doing? Find some pictures that represent your ideal career, and put them where you can see them.
· Becoming healthier. What do you need to do to get really fit and healthy? Research trainers or fitness classes in your area. Enroll in a yoga class, or learn to play tennis or sign up with a trainer. Cut out pictures from magazines of people with the kind of body you want, and stick your head on them to help you see yourself with this new body. Whatever appeals most to you it fine - the important thing is that you get out and do it.
You get the idea. Start researching, planning and taking action now for the future - for the life that you want. Always keep that vision of your perfect life in your mind. That's why finding pictures that represent what you want, and putting them where you can see them, can be so powerful. Create a vision board by pasting all the pictures and words that represent what you want onto a piece of poster board, and hang it where you can see it.
What do you need to do in your environment to get ready for this new life? Go through each room and look at the things you have. Ask yourself if you want these items with you in your new ideal life. If the answer is no, then let go of whatever you can now. This clears away the old energy of what you don't want, and makes way for the new and what you do.
If you want to move into a new home, what would you have to do to your existing home to get ready for the move? If you would have to spruce it up to sell it, start doing that now. If you would have to clean it up for new tenants to come in, do that now. Always make sure that the actions you take are moving you towards what you want.
Your current results may not be what you want, but don't focus on them - focus on what you want. Take action NOW - action that will move you toward the life you want.
It really can be yours.
